What We Treat at QUICKmed

Not sure where your symptoms belong? Start here.

From sore throats to sprained ankles, QUICKmed treats everyday illnesses and injuries that need attention today — not next week. Browse by symptom, body area or type of care to see if we can help, then walk in or save your spot online.

🚨 If This Is an Emergency, Do Not Wait

Call 911 right away — or go to the nearest emergency room — for signs of a life-threatening problem, including:

  • Chest pressure, squeezing or pain that lasts more than a few minutes
  • Sudden face drooping, arm weakness or slurred speech
  • Sudden trouble seeing, walking or keeping your balance
  • Serious trouble breathing
  • Heavy bleeding that will not stop
  • A head injury with confusion, fainting or vomiting
  • A seizure, or a person who cannot be woken up

Do not drive yourself. Call 911 so treatment can start on the way.

In emotional crisis or thinking about harming yourself? Call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, any hour of the day.

Can't find what you're looking for? That doesn't mean we can't help. Many concerns don't have a tidy name. Walk in and a QUICKmed provider will evaluate you in person. If your concern is better handled elsewhere, we will tell you and help point you in the right direction.

Conditions Treated at Urgent Care

Digital X-ray is available on site at QUICKmed, so many injuries can be imaged during the same visit.

Women's Health and Gynecology

QUICKmed providers care for patients from the preteen years through menopause and beyond.

Services include annual exams, contraception management, menopause management, treatment for pelvic pain and ovarian cysts, follow-up on abnormal Pap smears, and treatment of infections and STDs.

Women's health services are offered at our Austintown and Dayton locations.

Long-term conditions we manage include:

  • Diabetes
  • High blood pressure
  • High cholesterol
  • Asthma and COPD
  • Depression

Preventive care includes:

  • Annual wellness visits
  • Age-appropriate health screenings and immunizations
  • Referrals for colonoscopy, mammogram, Pap testing and PSA screening
  • Care Management support for Medicare patients

Primary care is offered at select QUICKmed locations.

What We Treat by Video or Phone

Some concerns don't require a trip anywhere. A telehealth visit connects you with a QUICKmed provider from home, using your phone, tablet or computer.

Often handled by telehealth:

  • Cold symptoms — cough, runny nose, sore throat
  • Fever
  • Rash
  • Pink eye concerns
  • Skin infections
  • Blood pressure concerns
  • Vomiting
  • Asymptomatic COVID-19 questions
  • Mental health support

Telehealth works best when a provider can help by talking with you and seeing you on camera. Anything needing an X-ray, a lab sample, stitches or a hands-on exam should be seen in person.

Work Injuries and Employer Health Services

QUICKmed treats employees who are hurt on the job and provides the exams employers need to stay compliant.

For injured workers:

  • Evaluation and treatment of workplace injuries
  • Workers' compensation screenings and evaluations
  • Return-to-work physicals
  • Follow-up care and injury visits

For employers:

  • DOT physicals and DOT follow-up exams
  • Pre-employment and T8 bus driver physicals
  • OSHA respirator medical evaluations and respiratory fit testing
  • Pulmonary function testing, audiograms and vision screening
  • DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing, including breath alcohol testing
  • Medical surveillance program management
  • On-site YOUcare clinics for schools and manufacturing

If you were injured at work, tell our front desk when you arrive so your visit is documented correctly for your employer and your claim.

Urgent Care, Primary Care or the ER?

Choosing the right place saves time and money. Here's a plain-language guide:

Your Situation Where to Go
Sudden, severe or life-threatening symptoms 911 or the Emergency Room
Sick or hurt today, but not in danger QUICKmed Urgent Care — Walk in
Ongoing condition, refills, checkups, screenings QUICKmed Primary Care
Minor symptoms you'd rather handle from home QUICKmed Telehealth
Hurt on the job, or need a work-required exam QUICKmed Occupational Health

Short answer: Urgent care is for problems that need attention today but are not emergencies. The emergency room is for anything that could threaten your life, your limb or your eyesight.
